Membership Discrimination.

My wife has been a member for over 20 years; her membership # is *** *** *** 747 I have a BJ'S membership, but recently decided to join my wife's membership, because i think COSTCO offers so much more in providing better quality merchandise, service & your gas prices/percentage back (in perks) can't be beat. I have been refused a membership/Costco Visa Credit Card, because of some issue with the Wharton store, here in New Jersey, where we shop. I have called the store to speak with the store General Manager, but he has never returned my call. I spoke with a Steve Marchioni who said he was new to the store, but there seemed to be some kind of a "POLICY VIOLATION". He went on to say that he knew nothing about anything further, except that refusing me a membership was what he was advised to do. I thought he was kidding. but he hung up on me. I called him back and asked why he so rudely hung up on me and he said that after asking some store employees he felt it best to just stay with the plan (what ever that is) to deny me the membership and we had nothing further to discuss so he hung up. I have to say to you folks at Costco membership that I am very upset and discussed. I am being discriminated against and I didn't do anything wrong. I drive a school bus for a living and go through an extensive back ground check annually. I have never even had so much as a parking ticket, yet somehow I don't meet your standards? I have been treated horribly in this matter and I want an answer as to why? If you don't want my business then I will get my wife to switch to BJ'S and we will be happy to give it to them.
