Beyond a nightmare

Purchased on April 13th,2021 , $400 stroller that does not support the weight described,does not manuever very well with weight on children plus their special needs equipment. The return policy says item mist be new and unused and originally packaged but how on earth will you know if you like the product if you dont open and use the item? Parenting is alot of trial and error and not everything that works for one family will work for another,baby gear in itself is a very expensive investment and people are more likely to shop at a store where they feel their concerns and satisfaction are truly cared about. Trying to return this high priced item that im unsatisfied withand cant use has been a nightmare. Im within the 90days,im even under 60 days, but they will not refund me my money,so is my satisfaction not important? I work in pediatrics and see alot of things go wrong even before a child is born, or days after a baby shower. You get excited and cant wait to put things together and ready,so you toss out stroller boxes or install the carseat and then tragedy can strike, so would a mother that wanted to return an item because she no longer can use it be met with the same discouragment ? I myself have never attempted to just return things without a reason. If this item was $40 and i didnt like it id return it. People dont want things they cannot use. I could use the refund to try to find something else that would work for my kids and their needs

Bed Bath and Beyond wants you to love what you buy from them, but sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Whether you didn’t like it, or it didn’t work as expected, Bed Bath and Beyond will try to make it right. If you’d like to make an exchange or return, here’s what you need to know.

You have up to 90 days after purchase to exchange or return, unless noted in our exceptions below. Just provide your receipt, and Bed Bath and Beyond will refund the purchase price to the original form of payment. Purchases made with a gift card will be refunded as Merchandise Credit.

Bed Bath and Beyond recognizes this is a challenging time, and Bed Bath and Beyond remains committed to the safety and welfare of their customers and associates. Out of an abundance of caution, Bed Bath and Beyond are only accepting returns and exchanges in stores open to the public (this does not include Curbside only locations).

Returns for Store Pickup

You may return items from your Store Pickup order to any store by using your ready for pickup notification as your proof of receipt. Store Pickup orders cannot be returned online and must be brought back to store.

Online Order Returns & Replacements

To help protect their team members and prevent the spread of COVID-19, Bed Bath and Beyond have taken precautionary measures that may impact customer experience. Our Customer Support remains staffed, but refund processing may take longer than normal. Expected response time is 7-10 days from receipt of return.

Return Exceptions

30 days

  • Smart Home Technology - Smart home thermostats, smart security & safety and smart doorbell products, etc. can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of purchase. Please Note: For these items purchased between 11/15 and 12/31, returns will be accepted until 1/31.

  • Seasonal Items - Patio furniture, grills, holiday products and décor, etc. can be exchanged or returned within 30 days of purchase.

60 days

  • Electrics - Small kitchen appliances, soda machines, robotic vacuums, baby monitoring devices and personal care appliances, etc. can be exchanged or returned within 60 days of purchase.

  • Air Mattresses - New and unopened air mattresses may be returned within 90 days of purchase. Opened air mattresses may be exchanged for a similar item only within 60 days of purchase.

Baby, Toddler and Maternity

  • Clothing - Baby, toddler and maternity clothing that is new, unused and has all tags may be exchanged or returned within 90 days of purchase.

  • Car Seats and Strollers - Car seats and strollers in new and unused condition with all original packaging, warranty and registration information included may be exchanged or returned within 90 days.

  • Breast Pumps - Breast pumps that are unused, unopened and in original sealed packaging may be exchanged or returned within 90 days.

  • Seating and Activity Items - Pack n plays, swings, high chairs, boucers, baby seats, and walkers/entertainers must be returned in new and unused condition with all original packaging and may be exchanged or returned within 90 days.

Misplaced Your Receipt?

Bed Bath and Beyond may be able to help! If your purchase was made within the past year, Bed Bath and Beyond will try to find a record of it using the original credit/debit card, checking account or number associated with a registry, online order or gift card.

If they’re not able to track down your receipt, you still may be able to return or exchange new and unopened items without a receipt. These items may be accepted for exchange or a refund in the form a Merchandise Credit of the current selling price less 20% (Bed Bath and Beyond assume customers make the most of their famous blue coupons). Whenever Bed Bath and Beyond issues a Merchandise Credit, Bed Bath and Beyond will ask you to show them a government-issued photo ID*. Returns of opened or used items without a receipt will not be accepted.

Marketplace Items

All marketplace items have a pre-paid shipping label sent via email or in your package for hassle-free returns. Marketplace items follow our return policy guidelines when determining eligibility. At this time, marketplace items cannot be returned in stores. Should you need assistance please go to your My Account page where you can contact the seller directly.
